Inflation is Biting Ugandans in the Patooti, too!

yvonneweinstein

Just like in the U.S., inflation has impacted the cost of materials—sewing supplies, soap-making materials, food, fuel for the generator, and transportation.       The cost increases we face in Uganda will result in a projected budget shortfall of $30,000 in 2025. Would you be willing to pray and ask God to lead you to the most sacrificial gift you can give to help us continue providing marketable skills classes to hardworking and hopeful Ugandans?

We wish you could meet Ruth.

She is 17-years old and, due to the death of her parents, is responsible for raising 5 children. The children include her younger siblings and the orphans of relatives. She cannot feed them every day or pay for the fees to attend public school.

"We slept hungry last night" is a phrase not too uncommon to hear.

We are writing to you today for Ruth and others like her. Men and women who are ambitious and have dreams to support themselves and the ones they love. Ruth's dream is to own a tailoring shop.

The good news is that you can change Ruth's life today! Your gift of $100 is what it takes to send Ruth to Empowering Ugandans' sewing classes for a month; this will be life-changing for her family.

Will you please send a gift by December 31, 2024 to help Ruth and men and other women like herattend computer and sewing classes and support all of our work to provide hope for the future? If you are able, would you please consider giving on a monthly basis to impact precious Ugandans all year long?

If Ruth does not receive the help she needs in time and is not given the opportunity to learn a marketable skill, she will continue struggling to feed herself and the 5 children she is raising.

Even while you are reading this blog post, would you please stop and send a gift today? You’ll love knowing that you helped a treasured person who is in need.

Thank you for being a part of this community and allowing these beautiful, amd resilient Ugandans learn a trade for an improved life. We write this with Hope in our Hearts for Many Ugandans

Empowering Ugandans

P.S. Please send your gift by December 31, 2024 to help Ruth and others like her attend classes at the Empowering Ugandans Training Center. Thank you for being kind and generous.P.P.S. Our travels though northern Uganda and South Sudan are on very rough and rugged roads. We need safe and reliable transportation. All funds received in excess of our goal of $30,000 will be used toward the purchase of a dependable and safe vehicle. The cost of a four wheel drive SUV or truck is $60,000.

"People giving exceedingly abundantly above anything we can imagine" - that is our hope and expectation.

Please be one of the people who give.
