The Story We Can Finally Tell

This is exciting.

Actually… It’s unbelievable.

At the end of 2025, you gave generously toward one big goal:A reliable 4x4 vehicle for ministry in Northern Uganda and South Sudan.

We prayed boldly.We hoped boldly.

The need was clear.

The roads are rough.The distances are long.And the Gospel still needs to go forward.

Our goal was $60,000 — enough for Gulu Bible Community Church (GBCC) to purchase a strong vehicle capable of handling the difficult terrain for years to come.

And then something incredible happened.

You gave.

Families gave. Friends gave.

The Grove Community Church gave.

Together, supporters of Empowering Ugandans raised $40,000.

An amazing gift.

But still short of the goal.

And honestly?

We didn’t know how the rest would come.

But God already knew.

For the first time ever, the United Nations began reducing their presence in Uganda, releasing a number of well-maintained 4x4 vehicles through a sealed-bid auction.

These were vehicles normally valued around $60,000.

Exactly the kind of vehicle GBCC needed.

Exactly the kind of vehicle we could not afford.

Still, we submitted a bid.

One bid.

One number.

$40,000.

The exact amount you helped provide.

After the auction closed, we learned something remarkable:

Nearly every winning bid was close to the full vehicle value of $60,000.

Except one.

Ours.

Against all expectations, our $40,000 bid was accepted.

The exact amount God had already provided through you.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude.

Because this vehicle is not just transportation.

It will carry pastors, missionaries, supplies, and the Gospel across Northern Uganda, South Sudan, and beyond for years to come.

You were part of this miracle story.

Empowering Ugandans

Receive greetings from Gulu Bible Community Church. As referenced above; the church is continuing with the church plant programs; reaching out to Karamoja (North Eastern Uganda) and  South Sudan. In these areas we have very bad roads and we really needed a stronger and more  comfortable vehicle. This vehicle will help us so much in reaching these areas to support our church  plants. 

Here below is the picture of the vehicle we purchased. 

Ps Martin, the Lead Pastor of GBCC is so excited to receive the vehicle at the church  compound. The Model is LAND CRUISER TX 2021, mileage 75,041 KM. 7 Seater.

We are really grateful for the financial support Empowering Ugandans extended to Gulu Bible Community  Church for the purchase of the vehicle. The total cost of the vehicle was USD 43,354. We received USD  30,000 from Empowering Ugandans, USD 10,000 from the Grove Community Church and Gulu Bible  Community Church raised USD 3,354. This vehicle will help us so much as we work toward fulfilling vision  2040 where we aim to plant 10,000 churches, train 10,000 church leaders in 10 countries of Africa.
