His journey from traditional church administrator to tech-savvy leader shows the transformative power of education and opportunity.
Dominic’s path to digital proficiency began with a simple invitation. When offered computer training for pastors, Dominic’s response was immediate. “I was the first to sign up!” he recalls enthusiastically. “It was an exciting opportunity. I started the classes and didn’t stop until I completed them!”
Dominic is amazing. As he delved into the world of technology, his natural aptitude shone through. He quickly mastered a range of skills, from basic word processing to creating dynamic presentations. “Being able to communicate via email makes me powerful!” Dominic exclaims. “I can connect with people worldwide. It’s as if I’ve entered a new realm!”
Armed with new abilities and a computer, Dominic’s horizons expanded dramatically. He pursued higher education, excelling in his studies. “A few months ago, I graduated!” he shares proudly. “In the computer classes, my grade was so high that I received a distinction!”
Dominic’s digital prowess has elevated him to a position of leadership among his peers. “Most pastors here don’t know how to use computers or the internet,” he explains. “These skills have made me a mentor to them. I can now reach, teach, and influence many more people.”
But Dominic’s impact extends far beyond his personal achievements. As a pastor working with vulnerable Congolese women in Gulu, he’s witnessed firsthand how practical skills training can uplift lives. “Many of these women now have marketable skills, provide for themselves and others, and have found faith.”
Dominic’s story shows the ripple effect of empowerment. His increased capacity to communicate and connect has amplified his ability to serve his community and spread hope. “Through communication and relationship, we can bring about transformation in Uganda.”
To the donors supporting Empowering Ugandans, Dominic is thankful. “I am living proof of your generosity. I’m empowered to share God’s love with a whole new world. We’re building the Kingdom of God through you. Entire families are being transformed.”
